All is revealed – well almost

The Health and Wellbeing outcomes released today (Tuesday May 13th) will be of interest to the Science community as the Science outcomes highlighted that ‘Reproduction is being developed through the Health and Wellbeing outcomes’. I am unsure what to make of what I read at the moment. What is included, within both the Science and Health and Wellbeing outcomes concerning animal and plant reproduction, especially at Secondary level, i.e. levels 3 and 4, appears to represent a significant departure from the various approaches to teaching I have been involved with throughout my career. But there again I am a Physicist by training. I am very interested in hearing what my Biology colleagues make of how this important area of learning looks to them.

The Health and Wellbeing outcomes are available in pdf format as normal from the Curriculum for Excellence website. Here is a word version.
